| On April 1st, 2005, a “One of a Kind” Thrift Redefined opened on the corner of Bloomfield & Cerritos in the city of Los Alamitos. Opening in a storefront of 1500 square feet of retail space, Thrift Redefined was designed to raise funds to offset operational costs at the Storehouse. In addition to providing an upscale boutique -style atmosphere that shoppers can feel good about shopping in, The thrift store offers high quality new and gently used items of value at discounted prices. |
Using primarily recycled materials and several cans of black paint, Thrift Redefined was created through the repurposing of used bookcases, shelving, old chandeliers, and picture frames.
After outgrowing our original space, Thrift Redefined expanded by adding an additional 3,000 square feet to accommodate furniture. All items are hand selected, so there is no sifting through dingy items to find your treasure.
One of the unique things about Thrift Redefined is its individual rooms that include a kitchen filled to the brim with goodies, a seasonal room that changes with each holiday, a children’s area, men’s area, furniture area, and even a room aptly named “Rodeo Redefined” where desirable designer items may be found.
Most recently added is the “Red Reading Room” where shoppers can nestle down in a plush red velvet chair and read excerpts from their favorite book.
“This is not your mother’s thrift store, but we’re sure she’ll like it too.”
